# Homepage assets ## Drone-photo example `drone-pond.webp`, its small version, and the image embedded in `drone-example.pond-project.json` come from an original OpenAI imagegen output requested by Sean on September 12, 2026. No third-party reference photo was uploaded. The fictional landscaped pond is not Shaquille O'Neal's property, actual satellite imagery, or a Pond Tools Studio rendering. The source output was `exec-e2bf0b26-b3f9-496c-bd2b-faa119e18954.png`, 1672 × 941. The web images use WebP compression without content retouching. Full-size image: approximately 530 KB. It is reused by the hero and photo section; the downloadable project, approximately 724 KB, is only fetched on request. The waterline and two inner contours were hand-traced as editable polygons. Scale and depths are illustrative. The compact version calculates to 2,990 US gallons using the current project core, with 18-inch shelf and 48-inch floor. The stream and waterfall are excluded. `tools/build-homepage-assets.py` generates the hero SVG from the downloadable project's canonical geometry. Not imported; countryside composition and square basin were less suited to the landscaped, irregular pond example. Raster image; could be compressed as WebP with no runtime rendering cost. - [Aquascape's Shaq pond](https://www.aquascapeinc.com/water-gardening/aquascape-news/aquascape-inc-and-aquascape-artists-of-the-year-install-a-water-feature-for-nba-legend-shaquille-oneal-in-atlanta-ga): strong landscape reference. Not imported; commercial reuse permission was not established. No endorsement or affiliation is implied. - [USDA NAIP](https://catalog.data.gov/dataset/national-agriculture-imagery-program-naip-imagery): catalog lists public-domain aerial imagery. Candidate for a future genuine aerial/satellite workflow example; specific imagery and capture dates were not downloaded or verified. Native geospatial files would require a browser-sized raster export. The generated image was selected for the visible irregular shoreline and landscaped context, and approved by Sean. No noncommercial asset was imported. ## Actual product screenshots `editor-example.png` and `studio-example.png` were captured from the current local product at source `9d612e0`, September 12, 2026, with the imported compact drone-photo example. Their WebP copies are compressed without retouching. The editor shows all three editable layers and 2,990 gallons. Studio uses the same pond geometry, natural stone edging and six koi. The garden in the source photo is not reconstructed automatically; Studio surroundings are separate. No local entitlement override was copied into this checkout. Other product assets retain their [existing credits](../studio-assets/DOWNLOAD-CREDITS.md). ## Website design references [The Pond Guy](https://www.thepondguy.com/) and [Aquascape](https://www.aquascapeinc.com/) were inspected on September 12, 2026. The design borrows general principles: generous pond photography, obvious entry actions, image-led pathways and clear section hierarchy. Their text, brand assets, photographs, promotional claims and layouts were not copied. The existing Pond Tools palette, typography tokens and brand icon are retained. ## Revised homepage outlines hero-edited.pond-project.json contains Sean's edited outlines exported September 12, 2026. It reuses the same generated background photo. The homepage trace and download now use this version; the original project remains for articles. ## Owner editor screenshot editor-owner-sept12.png is Sean's supplied Screenshot 2026-09-12 172524.png, copied without alteration. It supplies the requested 24,204-gallon hero display. ## Feature visuals, September 13, 2026 Premade candidates reviewed: the repository's Studio screenshot (existing product capture, WebP, no added dependency); Lucide camera/person icons (https://lucide.dev/ and https://github.com/lucide-icons/lucide/blob/main/LICENSE, ISC/MIT, tiny SVGs suitable for commercial use). The screenshot is reused for Design Studio until Sean supplies new captures. Standalone icons could not explain camera rays, depth correction or shape union, so those concepts use original code-native diagrams instead; no Lucide paths were imported. No noncommercial assets were selected. `camera-correction.svg`, `satellite-planning.svg`, `calculator-visual.svg`, and `purchase-visual.svg` are original schematic illustrations, generated by `tools/build-homepage-features.py`. The map is an illustration, not satellite photography. The calculator's example is 10 x 8 x 3 ft: 240 cubic feet times 1728/231 = 1,795.32 US gallons, rounded to 1,795. Equipment diagrams are illustrative, not product endorsements or promised sizing results. `pond-edit.gif` is a scripted illustration of the app's circle/combine operation, not a screen recording. It reuses the plan grid palette. `pond-edit-still.png` is its reduced-motion alternative. All feature diagrams are local assets without external runtime requests. Owner screenshot `editor-screenshot-best.png` supersedes the older depth screenshot and shows 67,862 gallons. ## Selected feature art, September 13, 2026 The current local homepage preview uses the photographic set in style-studies: photo-camera-v2.webp, photo-satellite-v2.webp, photo-calculator-v2.webp and photo-purchase.webp. These are AI-generated editorial images, not product captures or actual satellite imagery. The architectural set remains available in the comparison gallery. Generation prompts and premade candidate reviews are saved in style-studies/prompts.json, revision-2-prompts.json and REVISION-2.md. They supersede the rough feature diagrams described above. Design Studio retains its actual product capture. editing-app-v2.svg is a native animated illustration matching the app grid and contour palette, with a reduced-motion fallback in its stylesheet. It supersedes the earlier GIF. Original art variants remain available for comparison. Pond photo reused from the existing build journal. No generated imagery. ## Custom pond AI card, September 14, 2026 `ai-custom-pond.png`: generated editorial illustration, not a product screenshot. Prompt: person at a garden table using a laptop with blue-grid pond contours and an Apply/Cancel design chat; soft daylight, matte textures, no holograms or logos. Premade candidates reviewed: Pexels photo 17544060 (person using laptop by a park pond) and 27195920 (garden laptop table), both listed free to use, and Unsplash LiDAR search (mixed free and paid assets). The garden photos offer natural photography but do not show pond editing; no suitable licensed pond-scanning image was selected. Generated art matches the existing feature-card direction.
