Place components and connect equipment
Place a component
Open Components and routes. Choose a type from Component, then press on the plan where you want it and release to place it.
Select an existing component on the plan or from Selected component. Drag it to move it. Its fields let you change the properties available for that type, such as dimensions, rotation or notes.
Use Lock on plan to protect its position while working nearby. Duplicate selected makes another copy. Remove selected deletes the selected component.
If a component disappears, check Visible on plan. Hidden categories remain in the project.
Position a house or patio
Choose House or Patio and place it beside the pond. Enter its Width (ft), Length (ft) and Rotation (degrees). Houses also have Wall height (ft).
For an L-shaped footprint, choose L-shaped in Footprint and set the notch dimensions and corner. The corner names refer to the footprint before rotation.
Pond clearance reports the distance to the pond outline. Save clearance ruler snapshot adds a fixed measurement. Move the house or pond later and that snapshot will still show its original measurement.
Repeat a component in a row
Select the component, then open Repeat. Set New copies, Center spacing (ft), and Heading. Heading 0 runs east; 90 runs north. The source component keeps its existing position and rotation.
Choose Preview row to inspect the copies, then Apply row to save them together. Cancel preview discards the proposed row. Undo removes the row in one step. If a copy would touch another component or exceed the placement limit, adjust the spacing, heading or count before trying again.
Connect equipment
Place the equipment first, then choose Add route. Select its start and end equipment in the route fields.
Choose Add bends on plan to lay out the hose path. Use Edit bends on plan to adjust it, and Delete selected bend to remove an unwanted bend. Choose Finish adding bends or Finish editing bends when you are done.
Enter the hose diameter and check the route's elevations. Route lengths follow the segments and entered elevations. The drawn connection is a planning aid; it does not prove that a pump and filter will work together.
Add notes
Use Name or species and Planting or maintenance notes for information about a component. For a separate label on the plan, enable Plan notes in Tools. Enter Note text, choose Place note, then press and release on the plan. Select a note to change its text, and choose Save text to save the edit.
To place the text away from its target, select the note and choose Move label. Press and release where the label should sit. A leader points back to the note anchor. Choose Reset label to restore the default label position and remove the leader. Undo restores the custom position. Move note or drag its anchor to change the target while leaving the label in place. The printable site plan shows a numbered label and its leader; the note text appears in the legend.
